Readable Editor
Readable Editor
Readable includes a separate installed tool called Readable Editor. You can run this tool by searching for Readable in the Windows Search box and it will appear. To run the Readable Editor v2.0, you require a Windows administrator account status. For Sensory Readable V2.5 and beyond, you do not require Windows administrator account status.
When you run the Readable Editor, it will show a Pronunciation Editor and Voice availability settings. We find that most recent text to speech voices are highly accurate in their pronunciations. However, sometimes they can struggle with certain personal names, company names, words from a different language and abbreviations. The pronunciation editor can be used to "adjust" how a voice might handle a tricky to pronounce name.
When you have added a new pronunciation or abbreviation, press "Save File" and the list will be updated. Next time you restart Readable, it will load the new pronunciation list.
Show cloud (Edge) voices

More Natural voices can be installed for languages such as French, Spanish, German and these may well we on your PC if it is Windows 11 release 22H2 (build 22621) or later.
Readable is also able to share the wide range of Microsoft cloud Natural voices (Edge voices). If you select to "Show Edge voices" button in Readable Editor then Readable will speak and underline text with a choice of 543 natural voices in 155 language and dialects.
